Election night 2008

It was a wonderful experience, to have a child old enough to understand what the election meant. Erik has been excited for months to find out who the 44th President of the United States will be. We took advantage of living on the west coast, and let him stay up until it was decided.

He colored in each state as it was called, and added up the electoral votes. It was amazing to turn on the TV as they were getting ready to call it (I assumed they would call it right at 8, when polls closed in California, and they did), and watch together as they declared Barack Obama the 44th President of the United States.
