January 3rd--Power's out

We had our first extended power outage since living here; it wasn't that long, though, just 2 1/2 hours or so. Still, it was enough time to:

• get cold because we'd had our heat down all day
• pull out the candles so we could see
• cancel or move the meetings that were happening at the church
• realize that our earthquake supplies were hopelessly inadequate

Erik had fun playing with floam by candlelight.
