Life with a climbing toddler

CeeCee turned 17 months on the 28th, and within a few days started climbing even more than she had before.

The big chairs, meaning now she not only gets on top of the dining table, but also on the kitchen island
From December 2008

Good thing she's cute!

The bunk beds. Yes, she figured out how to climb up the beds that have no ladder. The boys' bunk beds don't use a ladder; rather, they climb up the side of the beds. Since we recently moved the Legos to the top, the boys are in there more often. So of course, it didn't take long for CeeCee to figure out how to get to the top. And play with the tiny Legos, which she still has a tendency to put in her mouth.

This is how she reacts when I take her down and shut the doors to their room. Pure torture for a toddler.

So, we now have to keep bathroom and bedroom doors closed, pull the chairs out from the table and the island, and keep the small "helper chairs" out of the kitchen. As soon as it's been "too quiet" for just a minute, we do a quick visual scan to see where she might be. More often than not, she's dipping a towel in the toilet, or throwing everything off the island.

Like I said, it's a good thing she's cute!

Oh wow! HOW does she get up to the top of the bunk beds? Juliana never climbed like that, thank goodnes. CeeCee has always been a good climber, though. :D Toilet and towels - been there done that! Juliana happily dips her blankets in the toilet.

Oh goodness... she IS cute. What a doll. I almost miss that age... although I am sort of still in it. She is just beautiful though. And I can tell she is getting bigger too. Your such a great mom Heather. :)
