Yes, that's right, there was snow near my house. OK, it was only a dusting, and only on a hillside where the sun didn't reach. And we came upon it by chance--we went to Chabot Space and Science Center, and parked in a spot in the tiny parking lot instead of the much larger garage. I was not at all prepared, and didn't have my camera with me. So we went in and enjoyed Chabot, drove home, and then came back with the camera. Not very environmentally-friendly of me, but it was really fun.
We also spent some time just playing on the hillside. They had a great time, and it reminded me that we need to get out for more nature walks. We have such amazing resources here in the Bay Area.
