Our Wednesday mornings are busy--starting with an hour-long prayer meeting for me at 7:30, and followed by Community Bible Study at 9:15. Erik and Anders love their CBS class, enjoying songs, crafts, snack, and plenty of play time. Anders especially loves that he and Erik get to play together for the first while before they are split into age groups. I also love CBS, as we're studying Revelation this year. While I have read through it before, numerous times, I haven't ever done an in-depth study. It has been great fun to me to have a reason to go through the text, verse by verse. The format of CBS requires that we read no commentary until after the lesson and discussion, which really forces me to study and not just read about what someone else says regarding the passage.
After we get home and have lunch, we have nothing scheduled on Wednesday afternoons. Sometimes we go to Chabot, sometimes we play outside. Today, we decided to just relax at home. Since our family has been fighting illness for a few weeks, it seems like a good idea to just take it easy.
