Yes, that's asparagus. I found grown-in-California asparagus at a local store. Is it really that close to spring? It was so good!
This was an item in my CSA box. Do you know what it is?
It's a watermelon radish! I've never had one before, but when you slice it, it's inside. The first one I ate was much more striking of a contrast between the red and the green; alas, I didn't take a picture of it.
Regardless of the color, it was wonderful on my salad.
