June 14th--Even hotter

We've had a bit of a hot spell this week, with temperatures pushing 90. That is way too hot for my comfort! The boys enjoyed the hot weather, though, with swimming and popsicles, a combination perfect for little boys.

We spent the late morning/early afternoon in the church with another family, cleaning out one of the classrooms. It was amazing how much we could pull out of the room and still have plenty in there. It's going to be so much nicer for the kids, not to mention the teachers and parents who clean up!

Carl also pulled out a few sets of his Star Wars legos. The boys now love them! Anders played with this one for a long time.

And Anders spelled his first word! OK, it wasn't intentional. Well, he intentionally made an H, then an A, then a T. But he didn't know it spelled hat. He just happened upon the H when he dropped the cotton swabs, then made a few more letters that seemed easy to form. He was so proud of himself though!
